WHY TRIPSTER BUDDIES?

Tripster Buddies is an initiative to build a community based on love to help seekers reach their inner truth.

Tripster Buddies is run by two passionate homeschooling mothers who loves to travel and learn from people and nature.

Tripster Buddies hosts holistic educational trips for mom and child. Trips are curated keeping in mind the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual development of the child. We orchestrate the event, sit back and enjoy on how the child observes and cherries being here and now. Trips also focus on kindling the spirit of the mother by providing her knowledge, safety, care and love.

TripsterBuddies also curates an annual event, The Alternative Thinkers Conference, which helps bridge people who have understood and implemented the path of love with people who are aspiring the same. The platform hosts people from various fields who have gone that depth in loving what they do and now, all that they want to do is share the love with all.

In all what we do, our intention behind Tripster Buddies – is to fall in love with the abundance of life, observe and appreciate human efforts and learn to be mindful and grateful every moment.

On average, they range from 3 to 6 days.

Trip costs vary from trip to trip. On an average from our past trips it ranges from 6000 to 8000 Rupees per mother for a 4 day trip. And 4000 to 7000 rupees per child for a 4 day trip.

Most of our trips do not have an age limit. The mother can take the decision by referring to the itinerary.

Predominantly our trips are mother and child trips. Once in a while we host a family trip.

Lakshana, a roadschooling mother, founder of Tripster Buddies and Durgesh Nandhini, a homeschooling mother curates, hosts and co-travels these trips.

Every participating mother volunteers to co-create the trips.

1. Basically, Lakshana Shravan and Durgesh Nandhini travel schooling their children.

2. We do extensive study in curating our trips, which we felt can benefit many when published. It’s more enriching to learn from different perspectives. The best of all children love peer learning.

3. Both of us love meeting people. Traveling with like minded people is a great gift to us. People who met during our trips as strangers have become our family now.

We are not a travel company. We see every trip as an investment to our child’s holistic development.

We do not travel just to see places

i) We do in-depth analysis on the history, people, culture and geography of each place.

ii) Try experiencing the place like a localite.

iii) We get into the grassroots of the purpose of visiting the place and hence curate multisensorial activities that help better understanding for the children.

We do not just visit Google listed places. Most of the places we visit are personal and referral contacts which are rare and original.

Example : During our trip to Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, we visited our friend’s Granite Quarry. The world’s one and only Black Galaxy granite Quarry. We were able to get to the bottom floor of the mining site, see the factory in operation and meet people of all cadres of the organization.

The trips are published and members are pooled at least a month before the commencement of the trip. We arrange online study circles around a central theme. Each mother and child gets to choose to learn/prepare a topic related to the theme. The mother and child duo gets to share a multi sensorial presentation with other members during the trip.

We arrange experts to facilitate the learning before and during the trip. We organise experts to travel along with to get in-depth understanding of a subject.
